    Nowadays you can easily get a decent DSLR with the capability of HD video recording between £300-600 depending on where you look, if you have the money splash out on one of the higher models as they will last longer, if you don't there are also HD camcorders available at a fraction of the price easily from under £100 to £300 depending on size. I would say Panasonic, JVC, Samsung are the best price wise if you include accessories, but offer less control, Nikon & Canon are the best quality wise, hope this helps.
